- Objective -
Be the first to deal 5 damage to your opponent.
- Contents -
One battle deck (40 cards), character card deck (3~5 cards) and no more than 3 copies of the same card in your battle deck. Character card deck must contain character card levels in sequential order. Lv.1 ~ Lv. 3 or Lv. 5
- Layout -
Typical card game format with a small twist on the 'resource' system.
You have your deck area, trash area, damage area, support area, and TWO rows for resources.
These two resource rows are the positive and negative shinobi gauges just like the game has it. You need a certain amount of a certain color in order to play some cards.
- Set Up -
Choose your characters, set them up. Each person draws 4. Pick who goes first.
- Phases -
. Draw Phase: Draw two cards, unless you are going first. Apparently only draw one.
. Standby Phase (resource): Lay a card in one of your resource rows in the corresponding color. Red to red. Blue to blue. Yellow can go to red or blue. Purple and Green can not be set as a resource.
. Support Phase: Play a Support card. Resolve effects.
. Battle Phase: Lay down a battle card from your hand face down. Your opponent can do the same as a defense.
Calculate the sum of your attack (or defense if you are defending) along with any bonuses.
Higher number attack deals damage based on how much is printed on the card (usually 1 but some cards deal 2 or more).
Equal or lesser attack to defense does nothing.
Move your played battle cards to your resource row in the corresponding color. (Some special rules apply where you can not do this).
. End Phase: Cleanup, shift turns.
- Special Stuff -
The 'twist' comes from battle cards that have special effects if certain conditions are met. These effects grant extra attack, defense, etc.
Also, some battle cards have Unlimited, Combo, or Aerial printed on them.
Unlimited means that you can basically stack battle cards from your hand to add to your attack or defense.
Combo means you can perform the battle phase once more during your turn.
Aerial allows you to play special aerial combo cards that require an aerial card to be played.
